The approval in December 2015 of the European Union’s Plan of Action for a Circular Economy has been a wake-up call in the development of new rules and directives affecting the design and conception of products and services, driving the adoption of the new ways of working and responding to the needs of the consumers who. in turn, are going to have new instruments that allow them to compare products and services from an environmental perspective.
This is going to give a further impetus to incorporating the environment as a real factor of competitiveness for companies and their products.
This first plenary session of the Basque Ecodesign Meeting 2017 will analyse the main developments in this new scenario throughout Europe.
