Sarah is an environmental scientist and experienced business development manager. She holds an honours degree in Biotechnology, a PhD in Environmental Science and is a recent MBA graduate. Sarah has over 20 years’ professional experience in the environmental services sector in the UK, Ireland and Australia and has worked primarily with commercial business and social enterprise start-ups ranging from large scale mechanical and biological waste treatment plants to community action initiatives. In her current role as the CEO of the Rediscovery Centre, Sarah manages a creative education, research and social enterprise centre in Ballymun which is facilitating the transition to a circular economy. Working with Dublin City Council, Sarah has recently completed the development of a national demonstration centre promoting eco-innovation and reuse and funded by the EU LIFE+ Programme. Sarah is recognized as a thought leader in circular economy practice in Ireland, has a keen interest in research and is involved in several European and nationally funded projects.
