Carlos San José Frutos

Graduated in Industrial Design from the Paris École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (France).

Technical Architect from the Barcelona University School of Technical Architecture.

Founding partner, together with Carlos Alonso and Brigitte Sauvage, of ADN DESIGN (Bilbao 1990), a product design advanced consultancy based in Bilbao, where Carlos works as Project Director.

Expert in strategic co-creation. As a consultant, facilitator and designer, he has worked with organisational leaders in different sectors.

A committed defender of the environment, he has headed the ADN DESIGN Environmental Management Policy, along with different projects in the fields of ecodesign and the circular economy.

BAI (Bizkaia Innovation Agency) official product design consultant.

Carlos combines his work as a designer with teaching at different centres and institutions to train young designers and disseminate design methods and processes in business.

Speaker at courses, seminars and conferences on areas linked to the industrial design professional activity.

Carlos has been involved in over 300 Product Design projects, for brands of the ilk of Bosch, Siemens,

Ufesa, Ekasa, AEG, Solac, Kenwood,  Araven, ABB Niessen, Adequa (Uralita Group), etc.

Former Chair of EIDE (Association of Basque Industrial Designers).

Former Chari of READ (Spanish Network of Design Associations).

Chair of the Jury of the Prince Felipe Prizes for Business Excellence (Design). 2007
