Ecodesign as an innovation driver in the Basque Country

Plenary Session 2

The Basque Country is now an ecodesign benchmark region in Europe. Basque companies have been integrating environmental improvement strategies in the design and development of its products for over 20 years. Set up in 2011, the Basque Ecodesign Center is one of the main public-private partnership initiatives in Europe.  In 2016, this initiative was consolidated and expanded with the incorporation of new partners and the main sectoral clusters of the Basque Country. This means future challenges can be faced with optimism.

This second plenary session of the Basque Ecodesign Meeting 2017 will analyse the main initiatives implemented in the Basque Country to serve our industrial fabric by incorporating the environment as a factor for competitiveness.
