Begoña Etxebarria graduated in Political Science and Sociology (Deusto University, 1984). Her whole professional career has been linked to the Novia Salcedo Foundation (NSF), where she has been the Director since 1987 and whose mission is to improve the employability of young people.
Throughout her career, Begoña has specialised in management-related areas and those inherent to the activity of the Foundation, including: EFQM Management Model (1995), Prospective and Systematic Thought (Bilbao Metrópoli 30-Prospektiker- Michel Godet, 2005) and the Micro-economy of the Business and Regional Competitiveness – MOC (Harvard- Deusto University, 2007).
Her curriculum and professional track record has enable her to strive to build the skills of young people for their professional and personal growth, along with understanding the importance of companies and territories to achieve the UN sustainable development goals.
Since 2016, NSF has been a member of ECOSOC – United Nations Economic and Social Council, from which it works to fulfil its mission.
Begoña is currently a member of different Boards of Institutions with which NSF actively works and which include: Global Compact Network Spain (2016), International Transparency Spain (2014), Innobasque – Basque Innovation Agency (2010) and the Antonio Aranzabal Foundation (2015)
