María Cristina Alonso graduated in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) and has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences. At AENOR, she works as the Head Auditor of Management Systems (Quality, the Environment, Ecodesign and R&D&i) and as an EMAS environmental verifier. She is currently a member of the working parties of the ISO Technical Committee 207, which is reviewing the standards of the ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 environmental management systems, whose publication is planned for the last half of 2015.
She was a member of the working party of the AENOR Standardisation Technical Committee 150, tasked with preparing the UNE standard 150301, as well as on the working party of the ISO Technical Committee 207 which drafted the ISO 14006 international standard on ecodesign management, published in 2011.
